“We created a health care system where the average person who has health insurance often can’t afford to go to the doctor,” said Dr. Scott Conard, medical director of the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions. “The average person has $400 to spend on health care for the month, and their deductible is $1,500.
